Real Estate Photographer / Media Specialist

Hampton Roads, VA | Independent Contractor | Flexible Schedule | In-Field

Virtual Tidewater is a locally owned real estate media company serving agents throughout Hampton Roads since 2008. We’re known for being reliable, professional, and easy to work with. We’re looking to add another photographer to our growing team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, values consistency, and takes pride in delivering a great client experience on every shoot.

What You’ll Do

Photograph residential real estate listings on location
Capture additional services as needed (aerials, video, 3D tours, reels — based on skill set)
Communicate professionally with agents and homeowners on site
Follow our shoot standards, checklists, and workflows
Upload media and notes for our editing and delivery team
Represent Virtual Tidewater with professionalism, friendliness, and attention to detail

You shoot and we handle editing, delivery, and client support.

What We’re Looking For

Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
Comfortable working directly with clients and guiding them through the shoot process
Calm and professional, even when schedules change
Coachable and open to feedback
Able to work independently while following established systems
Pride in doing the job right every time
Some photography experience is preferred, but we’re open to training the right person with a strong work ethic and customer service background

Requirements

Live in or near the Hampton Roads area
Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Camera gear suitable for real estate photography
Drone + FAA Part 107 license (or willingness to obtain)
Smartphone and reliable internet access
Availability at least 3–4 days per week (weekday availability required)
Comfortable driving between appointments and being on your feet
